Even for those who don’t consider it their personal favorite, the Nike Air Jordan 4 remains a universally admired and beloved silhouette.

This is attested by the countless colorways that have graced the sneaker world since its debut in 1989. While the original colorways hold a special place in sneaker history, new interpretations have continuously added to the legacy of the Air Jordan 4.

Some recent examples of successful reincarnations include the “Frozen Moments” colorway, the A Ma Maniére collaboration, and the 2023 contender for Sneaker of the Year, the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Pine Green”.

Now, for Fall 2024, Jordan Brand unveils the Air Jordan 4 “White Thunder”. This latest iteration reinterprets the popular “Thunder” and “Red Thunder” colorways, merging their essence into a fresh and contemporary design.

The all-black nubuck upper exudes luxury, with the iconic white accents replacing the original tour yellow or red pops for a striking contrast. This color blocking evokes the legendary “Black Cat” Air Jordan 4, hinting at its potential to become one of the best non-OG colorways ever released.

While only time will truly tell how the “White Thunder” will be received, its minimalist aesthetic and clever “Heritage Twist” approach suggest a high level of anticipation.

The official release date is yet to be confirmed, but it is projected for August 2024. Sizes will cater to all members of the family, with prices ranging from US$215 to US$85.
