Travis Scott has established himself as a cultural tastemaker and a key figure in the recent successes of Nike and Jordan Brand. His releases have resonated deeply within street culture, with his influence particularly evident in the rising popularity of earthy tones.

This trend can be largely attributed to his iconic “Mocha” colorway on the collaborative Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG released in 2019. Following its immense success, a wider general release to the public further solidified its cultural impact.

Now, the Jumpman is revisiting the “Mocha” magic with a low-top iteration. The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Mocha” stays true to its high-top predecessor, faithfully replicating the classic white, black, and dark mocha color scheme.

Clean white leather underlays provide a crisp base for sleek black leather overlays and rich mocha nubuck accents. Black details extend to the laces, tongue tag, and liner; while the sail-colored midsole adds a touch of contrast, in addition to the solid black rubber outsole.

It’s some time away but the Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG “Mocha” will release on 21 August 2024 with an RRP of US$140 for men’s sizes; US$120, GS; US$75, PS; and US$65, TD. Till then, stay tuned for more details and images to surface in the coming months!
