Jordan Brand recently unveiled a “Voodoo Alternate” of Zion Williamson’s Nike Air Jordan 1 Low, a reincarnation of last year’s edition. Easily one of 2022’s sneakers of the year, this followup in contrast adopts a more ominous palette with a mix of blue tones, dressing its suede and burlap-like materials, and exposed deco stitching.

The pair features a unique aesthetic that blends elements of traditional voodoo imagery with modern contemporary style. The exposed deco stitching, the mini Swoosh at the forefoot, the embroidered voodoo-doll graphic on the heel, all work in tandem to create the shoe’s vibe. Lest we forget, the upside-down Wings logo on the heel tab, a playful twist on the staple branding element.
