Epiphone Will Release a Bocchi The Rock! Edition Les Paul Custom Guitar
Limited to only 200 pieces.
In 2022, we witnessed a surge in hype around “Bocchi The Rock!”, a Japanese anime series adapted from its original manga run starting December 2017. The story revolves around the protagonist Hitori Gotoh a.k.a Bocchi-chan, a socially awkward individual who aspires to become a rock musician, and her journey after becoming a member of the Kessoku Band.
Following the widespread popularity of the series, Epiphone, a sub-label of renowned guitar maker company Gibson, is now set to drop a limited edition guitar inspired by the original Gibson Les Paul Custom used by Bocchi-chan.
Epiphone Les Paul Custom -Bocchi Edition-
As spotted in the series, the Epiphone Les Paul Custom -Bocchi Edition- will showcase a glossy black body finish alongside gold pickups and hardwares. The guitar also features a 60s SlimTaper neck profile and Ebony fingerboard for a more modern feel and sound.
A gold Bocchi-signed plate is then equipped to the pickguard, replacing the conventional stickers found on Gibson Custom Shop models. Lastly, the guitar will come encased in a special Kessoku Band x Epiphone gig bag.
Where to buy
Limited to only 200 pieces, a raffle draw for the Epiphone Les Paul Custom -Bocchi Edition- will be opened from 15 to 28 November via Aniplex Plus and winners will be notified on 6 December 3PM JST. Retail price tag is set at 128,000 JPY (~US$845). Don’t miss out on this exclusive release!
