By now, most sneakerheads and skaters alike will be familiar with the name Yuto Horigome. Perhaps it’s his recent Nike SB Dunk Lows, or his history-setting gold medal in the inaugural Olympic men’s street skating event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, Horigome’s name is synonymous with the wider skate community as it continues to gain traction in the world of sports.

To further celebrate his achievements, Seiko is creating another Seiko 5 Sports with the skater, marking the third time the duo have collaborated. Specifically, it’s part of the SKX GMT series, and will only be limited to 2,700 pieces.

Notably, this is the first time the SKX GMT series that the stainless steel case and bracelet are coated in stealthy black. Adorning the bezel are navy and purple, which symbolizes the sunset of downtown Tokyo where Horigome honed his craft during his youth.

On the back of the case, Horigome’s signature is embossed in gold, along with its serial number. A special box will also be released as part of the collaboration.

Take an official look at the Seiko 5 Sports Yuto Horigome SSK027 Limited Edition via the top slider above. It’s slated to drop on 8 December. While a confirmed retail price has not been confirmed, it’s suggested to cost around 570 EUR (~US$610).
