Offering a modern take on traditional influences, the duo presents a collection focused on the Kyoto, a Birkenstock icon inspired by the cultural landscape of the Japanese city. Retaining majority of the silhouette’s details, the adjustable buckle comes with debossed “CONCEPTS” branding as a mark of its collaborative identity.

A felt dressing evoking the textures of traditional Japanese gardens then outfits the strap, before color variations reminiscing of cherry blossoms, temples and shrines complete the design.

For those interested in grabbing a pair, the Concepts x Birkenstock Kyoto collection will be made available for purchase starting 27 October via cncpts.com alongside their Boston flagship and NYC shop.
