The Nike Kobe 4 “Gold Medal” Protro is projected to return next year, just ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

White, Dark Obsidian, Varsity Red, and Metallic Gold work in tandem in dressing the upper, much like the original 2009 version.

The Metallic Gold on the toe and heels adorn a snakeskin texture, while Dark Obsidian brandishes the profile Swooshes, interior, and mesh tongues.

More Gold is introduced through Kobe’s sheathe emblem, in addition to his Olympic jersey number “10” embossed on the heels. Adjacent is his autograph, a staple element in his signature line.

White covers the panels with Obsidian FlyWire, while Nike Kobe 4’s insoles feature Olympic medals dated “08.24.08”. The shoe is finished off with White midsoles with the above-mentioned colors converging on the rubber outsole underfoot.

A firm release date hasn’t been disclosed but they are projected to be released in the fall of 2024, ahead of the Summer Olympics taking place between 27 July and 11 August. They’re expected to be priced at US$190.
