[Update 5 Oct 2023] New images of the Slam Jam x Salomon XT-Quest 1 have just surfaced. It’s the first holistic look at the pair yet, letting the entirety of its makeup shine. From its metallic silver palette, to its various materials. Enjoy a look at the gallery above as we await a release date!

Slam Jam’s no greenhorn when it comes to collaborations, having reinvented some from Nike, New Balance, and even Dr Martens. Adding another big name to their portfolio, the Italian retailer joins forces with Salomon for a new iteration of the latter’s XT Quest 1.

Secretly revealed during Paris Fashion Week, the shoes were spotted on the feet of shoppers and staff at the secondhand specialty store, The Archivist. The pair is clad in metallic silver, complemented by light purple mesh underlays, zigzag profile detailing, and glossy leather toe boxes. Slam Jam branding resides under the laces, secured by clasped mechanisms for a modern aesthetic.

The duo previously cooked together in 2022 on a version of the XT-4 that referenced Italy’s volcanic landscapes.
