[Update 19 Oct 2023] The New Balance 610 GORE-TEX “Team Away Grey” was released overseas in September with Japan getting theirs today, 19 October. Accompanying the release of the “Raw Cashew” New Balance 610 is another colorway dressed in a variety of grey tones. The greyscale makeup is formed through the harmony of Team Away Grey, Grey Matter, and Castlerock.

Much like its contemporary, the pair is addressed in neutral tones that engulf its multi-material construction of mesh, suede, ripstop, and leather. Elevated by the integration of a GORE-TEX membrane, apropos for the silhouette’s trail-ready pedigree, and the colder months ahead.

The pair has been released on the New Balance website with an RRP of US$170.

Many silhouettes from the late ’90s and early aughts have found new life in the status quo with the landscape having a newfound appreciation for the era’s aesthetic. A trend that saw the embracement of New Balance’s core designs. And it’s not one that will dissipate soon so expect to see more of the 610s in the months to come.
