Dime X Vans Skateboarding Reunite To Bring Back the Rowley XLT
Releasing first via an exclusive pop-up event in Paris.
Ahead of Dime’s second Fall 2023 collection, the Montréal brand has taken to Instagram to reveal their next footwear collaboration with Vans Skateboarding. Through a rather amusing Instagram post, the duo, together with Geoff Rowley himself, have revealed the shoe in question to be the Rowley XLT, a silhouette that hasn’t seen the light of day for over two decades.
The Dime x Vans Rowley XLT goes back to its roots in more ways than one. Part of Vans’ Reanimation Series, the silhouette has been recreated to match its OG 2001 design. A durable nubuck material is utilized for most of its upper, while a lightweight EVA midsole takes shape beneath. Dime’s namesake adorns the heel, while Vans and Rowley’s appears on the padded tongue’s label.
Reportedly, two colorways will be released for this Dime x Vans Rowley XLT collaboration: one that comes in a classic Navy outfit, and another which comes in Dime’s iconic shade of Birch. The latter will be an exclusive to a special Dime x Vans pop-up store in Paris, which will run from 29 September to 1 October. Following which, an online release on Dime’s website will take place on 30 September. The Navy variant will see its official release via Vans’ website and select brick-and-mortar locations on 5 October.
