Ten years is relatively short a partnership compared to the ones Nike’s forged with the likes of CLOT, Stüssy, et al. Nevertheless, New Balance and Stone Island’s is, even more than the aforementioned, a match made in heaven.

There are many things that tether the two, one of which is their craftsmanship pedigree. A quality they’ve exercised over 2021’s TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance RC Elite_SI to this year’s FuelCell C_1 most recently—with a few others in between. And an apparent 991v2 succeeding them.

Stone Island recently teased the project on Instagram. Offering a brief look at the outsole, the iconic black Stone Island compass logo is seen through its translucent make, also alluding to a possible fusion of elements akin to collaborations prior.

With this news coming from the Italian label themselves, more details should emerge within the coming days, or weeks at most. Stay tuned! The pair will be unveiled soon before long.
