The past adidas x The Simpsons collaboration has been one of the most clever and light-hearted. The “Homer Simpson” Stan Smith nodding to the popular meme of him sinking into the bushes, with the “Marge Simpson” Superstar wrapped in blue fleece paying homage to its namesake’s iconic hairdo.

Going deeper into meta territory, the next three-piece pack will reference The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show, the TV show shown within the TV show, and specifically the “Homer’s Voice Actor Challenge” episode that aired in 9 February 1997.

The first is the “Scratchy” pair of Rivalry High, dressed in various tonal Greys laid over its Cream White base. The feline character’s face embroidered on the lateral heel. It’s succeeded by the Rivalry Low “Itchy” with Supplier Color and Halo Blue working in tandem on the upper, while supported by a Cream White midsole.

At the time of writing, there’re no images of the third Pro Model 80 “Poochie” but they shouldn’t be far behind. Considering their imminent release dates, scheduled for 7 October. A price point hasn’t been disclosed either but stay tuned! In the meantime, enjoy a look at the two pairs and the bespoke shoeboxes they’ll be housed in at the gallery above.
