[Update 19 Sep 2023] The Nike Air Jordan 1 Mid “Varsity Royal” is ready for release. The rumor mill has it that the pair will go live on 20 September in full-family sizing. Keep your eyes peeled!

The 1985 Nike Air Jordan 1 High OG “Metallic Pack” has been the archetype of several other thematic releases after it, including the AJ4’s turn at the motif. Almost 40 years later, it’s still going strong with a new interpolation on the AJ1 Mid.

Varsity Royal and Black hues addresses the pair’s leather construction. Black proliferates through the overlays, laces, tongues, and interior; with Royal Blue on the toe box, side panels, collar and the Jordan Wings logo below it. The last brandished with the signature metallic accents. All the aforementioned sit atop a White rubber midsole and Royal Blue outsole.

There’s no release date yet other than a projected fall. Nonetheless, the season is imminent and so is the pair’s arrival. Expect more updates to surface within the coming weeks.
