Concepts and Vans reunite for another collaboration. Dubbed the “Smoke and Mirrors” pack, the duo reimagine the OG SK8-Hi LX and the OG Old Skool LX.

“Smoke and mirrors” is easily understood as a metaphor for deception. This time around however, it serves as the motif in the project. Transposing its semantics literally, they create the upper from suede, sublimated canvas, and 3M reflective highlights to depict the mirror’s reflective quality. Smoke is imprinted on its profiles with its shade proliferating on the midsoles too.

The two-piece pack will be released on 8 September with the Sk8-Hi going for US$120 and the Old Skool for US$110. Find them both on Concepts’ brick-and-mortar in Boston and New York, as well as their website for the rest of the world.
