[Update 8 Sep 2023] The whispers in the wind come true: The previously-teased Fenty x PUMA King Avanti will be debuting as part of the duo’s revived collaboration. Alongside the black version that was seen on Rihanna, a second all-silver metallic colorway will also be released. Both colorways will be dropping on 15 September via PUMA and select retailers, at a retail price of US$160.

Earlier this year, sportswear brand PUMA and Rihanna’s Fenty brand teased the return of their collaborative project. Having first worked together in 2014, the duo haven’t really pushed anything new over the past few years—until RiRi herself was spotted in a brand-new PUMA King Avanti earlier in June. Now, the gears are finally in motion, with PUMA themselves posting a teaser of their upcoming Fenty x PUMA collaboration on their socials.

While nothing much in the way of footwear was revealed in the teaser, it’s clear that Rihanna’s creative touch was applied to the apparel she wore. Dressed in a tonal muted grey tone, RiRi’s choice of clothing came in oversized hoodies, with various patches adorning the back.

It remains to be seen which silhouettes, if any, will receive the Fenty makeover—and whether the previously seen PUMA King Avanti is part of the lineup as well. Stay tuned for more information as we’ll update this page as soon as we can.
