Japanese entertainment franchise Sanrio is joining forces with sportswear powerhouse adidas to inject a fresh and captivating vibe into the Samba 2.0 model, with the iconic Hello Kitty mascot leading the way.

This marks the mascot’s latest three-stripes venture since an early Stan Smith release, and the duo has introduced some changes. In contrast to the plush pouch seen in the previous pair, the Samba 2.0 takes a more minimalist approach, featuring character outlines on its monochromatic leather and suede upper.

Beneath it all lies the chunky, semi-translucent outsole, a distinctive characteristic of this succeeding model, adorned in a soft shade of pink. Completing the design comes co-branding details on the insoles, accompanied by a colored mascot graphic.

No release details have been confirmed at this time, but the Hello Kitty x adidas Samba 2.0 is said to arrive in the coming months via adidas and select retailers.
