The Stüssy x Talking Heads Collab Is Launching This Week
Featuring David Byrne in his famous big suit.
[Update 7 Sep 2023] On top of the previously-seen white tee featuring David Byrne in his big suit, Stüssy and Talking Heads will be releasing another black tee that comes printed with the artwork of the band’s 1980 Remain in Light album. The full capsule collection will arrive tomorrow.
Stüssy and Talking Heads are teaming up for a special collaboration. The streetwear label uploaded an image of model Bianca Lexis in a white tee on Instagram, and on the front is the photo of a big suit–wearing David Byrne at the Stop Making Sense concert.
Coincidentally, David Byrne and his Talking Heads ex-bandmates will be reuniting very soon for the 40th anniversary of the same concert film. The legendary film has recently been remastered in 4K by A24, the indie studio behind Everything Everywhere All At Once.
While David Byrne and his big suit take centre stage on the collaborative tee, the names of Talking Heads members Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, Jerry Harrison, and show name Stop Making Sense form around his black-and-white silhouette in signature Stüssy script.
The Stüssy x Talking Heads collaboration will drop at select Chapter Stores, Dover Street Market, talkingheadsofficial.com and stussy.com on 8 September.
