LaMelo Ball’s LaFrancé Streetwear Label and PUMA Collaborate on a Collection
Featuring the MB.03, the RS-XL, and a range of apparel.
LaMelo Ball is the face of many things: the Charlotte Hornets, PUMA as their marquee athlete, as well as his own eponymous label: LaFrancé (his middle name). Before the start of his third NBA season, the latter two entities ready a collection, a collision of both of LaMelo Ball’s worlds, reflective of his eccentric offcourt style. Subsumed are his third signature shoe, the MB.03; the RS-XL; and some apparel.
The first sees a majority neon green upper, with a yellowish outsole that appears to drip upward against gravity with the underlayer mesh visible through the claw mark cut-outs. The midsole arrives in mint green, complemented by gold branding on the tongue imprinted with “LF”, a nod to his label.
Alongside the t-shirt, crewneck, and pants, the RS-XL adopts a similar palette that accentuates its mesh, suede, and nubuck structure. A metallic gold bracelet regals the pair, giving a touch of opulence, while presiding over the floral pattern akin to the MB.03.
The entire offering is scheduled for release on 14 September at PUMA flagship stores, LaFrancé’s website, and select retailers.
