LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.03 Slides Is His Answer to the YEEZY Slide
Dropping in four different colorways.
The partnership between LaMelo Ball and Puma has given us three signature basketball shoe models thus far, and the shoes’ unique details and colorways continue to intrigue. Now, the Hornets point guard is about to drop a brand new silhouette in the form of a foam slide—reimagined from the LaMelo Ball PUMA MB.03.
The LaMelo Ball x PUMA MB.03 Slide, crafted from soft EVA foam, looks suspiciously mellow at first sight. However, upon closer inspection, details like the claw mark cut-outs on the upper band, the “NOT FROM HERE” text embossed onto the soles, and the “slimy” midsole start to reveal themselves. LaMelo’s angel wing logo also takes centre stage on the upper.
It wouldn’t be a LaMelo signature if the slides come in regular colorways. Instead, the partners will be releasing the MB.03 slides in four different colorways, including a super loud neon green, a two-tone neon green, a charcoal and black, and a Hornets-inspired two-tone blue.
The colors definitely scream for attention, and the marbling in the two-tone pairs remind us of certain YEEZY colorways too.
This quartet of LaMelo Ball x PUMA MB.03 Slides will drop on 1 September with a US$50 price tag. Meanwhile, Nike will also be dropping its new Calm Mule in “triple black” later this year.
