This Salomon XT-6 Draws Inspiration From China’s “Mount Siguniang”
Releasing exclusively in China on 28 August.
Salomon has been busy with collaborations and special releases over the past few weeks, and they don’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. After working with the likes of END. Clothing and Notre, the French brand now looks towards Asia for its next exclusive release. This time, the brand is heading to the Chinese mountains, specifically “Mount Siguniang” for the next Salomon XT-6.
The mountain, located in the Sichuan Province, is famed for its natural beauty. At certain times of the day, a soft pink-orange hue can be observed on the peak, which makes for a majestic view if you’re in the area. This is reflected on the Salomon XT-6, which utilizes a myriad of colors to form its upper. That being said, the same main tones of pink and orange are widely used throughout the shoe, with the latter coming in a solid block all around the vamp.
Each pair of the Salomon XT-6 “Mount Siguniang” will also come with a numbered card themed around the rocks of the mountain, which makes the release all the more exclusive. One lucky customer who draws the Obsidian card will further be rewarded with the next two pairs of Salomon shoes in the “Mountain Caller” series. It’s an amazing bonus to an already amazing shoe.
