Back in 2021, Boston College signed a long-term deal with New Balance. It makes complete sense in every sense of the deal, given that New Balance themselves are from Boston as well. This deal saw athletes from the private institution decked in NB gear. Now, students and fans alike can hop in on the action, with the imminent release of the New Balance 550 “Boston College”.

As it’s name would suggest, the 550 goes through a simple yet stunning makeover according to the college’s colors. Most of the upper’s leather upper comes in a clean palette of white, giving ample room for the red-and-gold scheme to take centerstage. On the tongue label, the school’s insignia takes form alongside New Balance’s, while a more collegiate-styled font adorns the graphic insole.
