Nike Reintroduces the Air Alpha Force 88 in “Black/Coconut Milk”
Another vintage silhouette perfect for the current lifestyle space.
In the status quo, the Nike Air Alpha Force 88’s claim to fame may be for being Michael Jordan’s interim shoes between the Air Jordan 2 and 3. Surely, the narrative has helped its appeal, in addition to the people’s newfound appreciation for vintage silhouettes.
These days, it’s seeing more repute with collaborators like Billie Eillish laying their own imprint, along with a slew of inline releases from the Swoosh, like the “Light Bone” colorway. The next reintroduction sees the pair adopting colors from the other end of the spectrum, in “Black/Coconut Milk”.
Black engulfs the upper, save for the branding on the tongue in contrast to its monochromatic backdrop. From the hallmark forefoot strap, down to the profile Swooshes, all these parts are dressed in uniformity with the suede and leather construction of the pair. All of which sit atop the Coconut Milk midsole, the only break in color, before returning to Black on the outsole underfoot.
There isn’t a firm release date yet but they are projected to arrive within the year for US$130. Stay tuned for more details!
If none of the AAF 88 colorways is your cup of tea, consider its contemporary from the same era: the Nike Air Force One. There’s a large catalogue of them on the SNKRDUNK App, one of which may be up your alley!
