Peter Moore’s brainchild, the Nike Air Jordan 1, remains as the quintessence of the Swoosh, and an archetypal silhouette. Since its emergence in 1985, it has inspired a plethora of others and to this day continues to be reimagined and reinvented. The latest of which being the titular “Summit White/Obsidian” colorway, scheduled for release in the summer next year.
Summit White, Obsidian, and Gum Medium forms the pair’s palette. The first engulfing the entirety of the upper—its base layer and most of its overlays.
The scheme lends contrast for the other two to shine with Obsidian being highlighted against the achromatic backdrop. The hue takes its place over the branding elements such as the profile Swooshes, the Jordan Wings on the ankle collar, and the tongue tag. The aesthetic is completed with the Gum Medium outsole underfoot.
The design may differ slightly from the singular mockup provided by Sole Retriever. Regardless, the pair is projected to arrive in the summer of 2024 as mentioned. Should anything change between now and then, we’ll let you know!
As we await more details and images, consider a look at other special AJ1 colorways on the SNKRDUNK App.
In other news, the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “White Gold” is also expected to return next summer.
