Every brand will have a model that serves as its quintessence. The way the Stan Smith was to adidas, the way the Clyde was to PUMA. For Nike, it’s the Air Jordan 1. To this day, it remains at the vanguard of their catalogue with a plethora of reinventions over the decades. Its latest incarnation being the titular MM with its multi-material construction.

A palette of Black, White, and Royal address the different panels of the upper. Black taking its place over the leather overlays on the mudguard and ankle jacket; White over the base layer, tongue, laces, and midsole; with Royal presiding over the toebox, the canvas collar, the enlarged profile Swooshes; and lastly on the outsole. It makes one more appearance on the insoles as a backdrop to another Nike branding.

There’s no firm release date yet but they’re expected to be released sometime between October to December this year for US$155. Stay tuned, more details should emerge within the coming months.

In other sneaker-related news, the Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Photon Dust/University Blue” is set to arrive on 13 October.
