LINE

For those who didn’t know, Kobe Bryant spent much of his adolescence in Italy where his father Joe Bryant played basketball professionally. Thus serving as the basis of the “Italian Camo” colorway of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro first released in 2011.

Now with the announcement of the Kobe line’s return starting from this year’s Mamba Day (24 August), the titular shoes have found a place in Nike’s release calendar in the summer of 2024, alongside the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “Venice Beach”, Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Philly”, and the Nike Air Force 1 “Kobe Bryant”.

The colorway pays homage to Italian culture and basketball, fusing classic design elements with the Black Mamba’s athleticism. Its upper features a camouflage pattern inspired by the many landscapes of the country, its vineyards, mountains, and coasts.

Black, Khaki, and Olive form its palette, symbolizing the harmony of the nature and urban life; while Crimson Red introduces contrast dressing the profile Swooshes and Kobe logo on the tongue.

There isn’t a firm release date yet but they’re expected to have an RRP of US$190. Stay tuned for more details within the coming months!

In the meantime, check out the Billie Eilish x Nike Air Alpha Force 88 “White/Black”.
