[Update 11 Mar 2024] New images of J Balvin’s fourth Jordan Brand collaboration have surfaced—courtesy of @nicekicks. Adorned in Black, Solar Flare, and Total Crimson Abyss, the shoe’s bold aesthetic is a contrast to the earlier-released “Medellín Sunset” colorway.

[Update 30 Aug 2023] The J Balvin x Nike Air Jordan 3 “Rio” has been projected for a summer 2024 release with an RRP of US$250. Nevertheless, he’s recently donned the pair during a pickup game with Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler. Check out the images of the scene at the gallery above! More details should emerge within the coming weeks.
Coming off an early preview of his Nike Air Jordan 3 “Medellín Sunset”, J Balvin and Jordan Brand seem to be back in the studio on yet another colorway for the silhouette. Named after his firstborn son, Rio, the J Balvin x Nike Air Jordan 3 “Rio” will find its way to Nike’s shelves next year.
First revealed by reliable insiders @zsneakerheadz and @sneakerfiles, the upcoming collaboration will see the color blocking of “Black/Solar Flare/Total Crimson Abyss”. However, there’s only a mock-up of the sneaker available currently as the exact color arrangement is not yet known.
While the “Medellín Sunset” is still slated for a release this September, this “Rio” iteration will only arrive on 22 May 2024.
