Jordans partly do well because of the legend attached to them. Narratives tend elevate a pair’s repute even though they weren’t exactly a commercial triumph during their first release. Such was the case for the Nike Air Alpha Force 88.

It gained its repute then when Michael Jordan opted for the pair, as opposed to his signature Air Jordan 3, during a game against the Knicks. The unconventional choice turned the model into a cult classic with a devoted following in the status quo.

Succeeding the game-worn “Chicago” colorway, comes the “White/Neutral Grey” makeup—an expansion of its retro collection. It features the familiar textured leather upper and breathable perforations at the toebox and collar; along with smooth leather on the profile Swooshes and tongues.

Other unique touches include the mesh collars and the signature forefoot strap. It culminates with the “Air Force” imprint on the tongue and the classic herringbone traction pattern underfoot.

Expect them to be released within the coming months at Nike’s brick-and-click with an RRP of US$140.
