Nike has shown time and time again they’re willing to stretch their design ethos to fit the latest pop-culture trends. This time, the Beaverton-based brand is giving its Air Max Scorpion a hot pink uplift, just in time for the highly anticipated Barbie film’s theatrical release.

While this is not an official collaboration, the inspiration is uncanny. As mentioned above, the entirety of the Air Max Scorpion is dipped in hot pink, a color that’s synonymous to the Barbie franchise. Chenille details the tongue, eyestays and collar, adding more towards the Barbie aesthetic.

Embroidered stars, coming in pink and white, are also added on top of the profile Swoosh and graphic insole, while Nike’s branding has been replaced with a Barbie-esque font. Most definitely, Nike seems to be living in Barbie’s world with this release.
