LA’s Lisa Lë Strange Put Their Signature on the Clarks Wallabee
The versatile Wallabee becomes a canvas for another artist. This time for Are Bernard, channeling his roots in photography, drawing, and painting.
LA-based Lisa Lë Strange was founded by multi-hyphenate Are Bernard as an outlet for his creative energies. Although best known for his photography work with the likes of Offset, Giveon, Lana Del Rey, and Mac Miller, the brand’s contemporary, graphic-forward concept showcases his roots in drawing and painting as well.
And there’s no other silhouette as great a canvas as the Wallabees. In the collaboration, Lisa Lë Strange takes on one of the most recognizable colorways of the shoe. Respectfully retaining its hallmarks, save for a few tweaks. One is the eyelets, adorned with a disparate mix of red in one, black the other.
Still, it hardly takes any attention away from the graphic style the label’s known for. On the toe box features the bolded text “I JUST WANT TO TAKE A SPACESHIP OFF THIS PLANET” in striking red, presiding over a blue oval backdrop.
Nothing much is known beyond what’s discernible from the picture. But with this coming off the brand’s official Instagram, it’s safe to assume it’s ready for release. So expect them to arrive within the coming weeks or months. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, Botter and Reebok channel football and climbing aesthetic into the Energia Bo Két.
