The Nike KD 16 is scheduled to hit the shelves soon, but as the Kevin Durant line continues its forward expansion, its fans have been requesting for rereleases of some of the catalogue’s gems. And they were heard, beginning with the return of 2011’s KD 3 “All-Star” back in February.

Following its acclaim, fans have requested the same for the KD 4. Thus, the reintroduction of the “Weatherman” next summer, ascertained by some of the scene’s reliable sneaker leakers. Other designs of the model may follow suit with several already heavily discussed and speculated on the internet.

The colorway debuted in 2011, alluding to KD’s boyhood ambitions: “I always wanted to be a weatherman growing up,” he told Nice Kicks 12 years earlier.

The “Weatherman” KD 4 was also apropos for the time. He was at the height of his prowess as the “Slim Reaper”, backed by two consecutive NBA scoring titles, “making it rain” on the court.

It’s unclear whether they’ll be integrated with the same performance-focused mods but more of such details should surface within the coming months, including an exact release date and images.
