Jordan Brand has recently unveiled their Air Jordan 38 lineup, the first of which is dropping on 18 August. It will be quickly succeeded by the titular “FIBA” colorway to coincide with the Basketball World Cup.

The shoe features a redesigned X-Plate that nods to the straps of the Air Jordan 8 and is created with 20% recycled material to keep athletes low, stable, and agile on the ground. Other features comprise the strong engineered embroidery to protect the wearer’s foot as well as to keep the upper lightweight.

In order to provide the most comfort and a responsive feel, a full-length Cushlon 3.0 wedge and a full-length Zoom strobel are combined; the Zoom strobel serving as a launching plate while offering explosiveness and multidirectional separation. The X-Plate works to support quick movements and protection, in tandem with the herringbone traction pattern.

The colorway, inspired by the International Basketball Federation, bears a neutral palette with vivid accents that mimic the FIBA logo’s distinctive hues.

The AJ38 will be availed in men’s and GS sizes. Find them on Jordan Brand retailers and Nike’s brick-and-click from 7 September for US$200.

Elsewhere, check out the incoming Nike Air Flight Huarache “Nike Gear”.
