Kiko Kostadinov Debuts the ASICS GEL-Terrain
The new collaborative sneaker features a mesh toe box.
As ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov continue to tease fans for ASICS Novalis, the longtime collaborators are also readying another round of ASICS Sportstyle footwear collab. Early looks posted on streetwear and sneaker accounts like @hidden.ny and @le.syndrome showcase a range of ASICS models including the ASICS GEL-Kayano 14, the ASICS GEL-Quantum Lylia from last season and the new ASICS GEL-Terrain.
Scheduled for release in Spring/Summer 2024, this Kiko Kostadinov for ASICS Sportstyle collection is filled with shades of rich earthy tones such as brown, green and navy. Amongst the many silhouettes previewed, the ASICS GEL-Terrain stands out with its vibrant red and yellow colorways.
The GEL-Terrain may look familiar but is likely a new model that borrowed from old ASICS silhouettes and constructed by mashing different elements together. This upcoming sneaker features an all-over mesh upper with leather panel overlays; its sole comprises ASICS’ FlyteFoam and the brand’s famous GEL technology is also visible near the heel.
Kiko Kostadinov lends his magic touch to the ASICS GEL-Terrain via a revamped mesh toe box that is made from the same material as the upper. There is an on-foot image of the shoe in the neon yellow colorway, and it showcases a sporty runner that has moved away from the the trend of simpler, more minimalistic styles of dad sneakers. Stay tuned for more Kiko Kostadinov x ASICS updates.
In other sneaker-related news, another trail model, the Nike ACG Air Exploraid, is rumored to be returning in 2024.
