[Update 29 Aug 2023] Details remain scant regarding the Jae Tips x Saucony Grid Shadow 2 but the Bronx-based designer himself has offered a better look at the predominantly brown pair.
It’s further accented with a rich color palette of peach, raspberry red, green, tan, white and light blue. The colors might seem chaotic but each placement is strategic resulting still in a well-balanced aesthetic.
There’s said to be a third colorway though no images have surfaced just yet. Stay tuned! The pairs are expected to drop within the coming months.
Jae Tips is quickly following up on his debut signature with Saucony, the highly acclaimed Grid Azura 2000 released last month. Next up: the Grid Shadow 2.
The Bronx native recently offered a peek of the two colorways on his Instagram account, possibly hinting at a release date as well. The first features a striking pallette of Pink-Purple tones atop a vibrant Neon Yellow midsole. The second pair has a Tan base layer with overlays in Orange, Brown, Red, and Green.
“Forever” is embroidered on the forefoot of both shoes, with Jae Tips’ logo conspicuously taking their places on the tongue and heel. The images also show a custom insole imprinted with the words “wear to a date,” suggesting the existence of a third colorway.
A release date hasn’t been disclosed but expect them to arrive sometime within the year. Stay tuned for more details!
