[Update 17 Oct 2023] The Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2 “Black” and “Faded Spruce” will finally be released on 18 October with an RRP of US$220.

The release date was announced just two days before the actual drop, but surprise is CPFM’s MO. Surprising in design, surprising in time. Nevertheless, find them on CPFM’s website on D-Day although a SNKRS release hasn’t been confirmed yet. If there is, you’ll know about it here at this very page!

[Update 20 Sep 2023] Official images of this holiday’s Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2 haven’t been disclosed, but @prvt.selection—ahead as always—has shared more photos of the “Black” and “Faded Spruce” colorways. It’s the best set yet with various angular and detailed looks.

[Update 7 Sep 2023] Images of the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2 “Black” and “Faded Spruce” have been circulating recently, but the actual pair itself has been circulating too, within an esoteric circle. One that includes one of music’s biggest sneakerheads, Lil Yachty. An image of him donning the “Faded Spruce” colorway have surfaced and it looks good on-feet, on his at least. 

[Update 4 Sep 2023] As reported earlier, the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Air Flea 2 will arrive in two colorways. While images of the “Black” pair have surfaced a month prior, the “Faded Spruce” one has finally come to light as well. The two share the same black sole unit diverging only in the color of the upper. See for yourself at the gallery above!

[Update 29 Jul 2023] The veil has been lifted over the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Are Air Flea 2 “Black”. Its the first look of the pair and its as imaginative and surprising—ironically, as expected. The pair debuted during the Miami’s Rolling Loud Music Festival on the feet of Franz Lyons from Turnstile.

The silhouette is an original design retrofitted with elastic straps, a thick, rubber waffle outsole that extends to the toe and heel, modular White large Swooshes on the profiles, pull tabs on the tongue and heel marked with Flea 2 branding, along with other buckled accessories.

There’re two colorways, in addition to the “Faded Spruce”, to be released but this is the first look of the “Black” pair. Both are expected to arrive in the holiday season with an RRP of US$220. Stay tuned for more details and images!

In 2022, Cynthia Lu’s Cactus Plant Flea Market released their Nike Dunk Low “Grinch”, which was indubitably the most polarizing sneaker of the year. It’s bewildering, bemusing, and bizarre, of if you’re more open-minded, you’d say they’re unique.

Now CPFM is back at it again with Nike to release the sequel. Two, in fact. Two colorways of the CPFM x Nike Air Flea 2 in “Black” and “Faded Spruce”. Although they remain shrouded in mystery for no visuals have been disclosed, some textual information does offer some insight on what look they’ll look like.

The colorways are respectively listed as “Black/Alabaster” and “Faded Spruce/Alabaster/Pro Green”. But knowing the duo’s history, expect the shoes to be imbued with unique textures and other embellishments. Whatever material you’re thinking of, it’s probably not. Surprising us the way CPFM typically does. Who knew a shoe inspired by the Grinch would so closely resemble it? The eccentric, enigmatic label did, and only they have the audacity to produce it.

The Air Flea 2s are projected to be released in the holiday season. So stay tuned for more details and images to arrive within the coming months!
