Eastside Golf and Jordan Brand have had a successful partnership that began in 2021. For their latest, comes the upcoming “1961” collection that’s already confirmed to include the Nike Air Jordan 6 Low.
Considering Eastside Golf’s mantra of making golfwear appealing, accessible, and inclusive to a more diverse contemporary audience, the collection’s name is honorific. 1961 marks the year when the PGA Tour abolished its prohibition to non-white golfers.
Black, Malachite, Metallic Gold, and White work in tandem to dress the pair’s premium make. Sleek Black and eye-catching Malachite form the shoe’s base, with the famous Gold Wings insignia on the lateral ankle.
The tongue labels proudly display the logo of their recognizable mascot, and the Swooshes are embellished with beautiful cursive calligraphy that reads “Eastside Golf”. Unique to the pair are the words “Change” and “1961” etched on the heels.
All the aforementioned sit atop a White midsole and an integrated traction outsole that was created specifically for the putting green. As usual, the pair will be housed in a collab-specific shoebox. A look should emerge with the release of official images.
Find them on Eastside Golf, Nike SNKRS, and select retailers from 8 September with an RRP of US$200.
Elsewhere, Stüssy and Our Legacy tap Converse for a Chuck 70 Hi collab.
