New Balance Finally Unveils Franciso Lindor’s “Summer Storm” Lindor 2
The New York Mets shortstop's second signature, arriving six years after the Lindor 1.
New Balance has dominated the lifestyle space and with roster athlete Jamal Murray winning the NBA championship recently, the Boston shoemakers should be galvanized to revisit their sports division. In baseball, they’ve crafted a custom glove for Shohei Ohtani back in April. In continuance of their efforts in America’s favorite pastime, they unveil the New Balance Lindor 2, Francisco Lindor’s second signature, in a “Summer Storm” colorway.
“I’m so excited to show off the Lindor 2 throughout the season, starting with the ‘Summer Storm” colorway. Having an opportunity to work with New Balance on this update allows me to continue to explore my love of design,” said Lindor. “Combining the latest New Balance technology with even fresher designs, you don’t need to choose between performance and style.”
He debuted the pair on-field during a game against the New York Yankees in the Subway Series. The “most premium baseball offering” from New Balance, it features synthetic grey uppers, straps over the forefoot and around the ankles for firm, lockdown support, along with teal accents over the branding elements on the tongue and profiles. The pair will be released in a field-ready form, and another with standard soles.
Expect to find them in stores sometime in July with the lifestyle version going for US$110 and the cleated ones for US$150.
