Women’s Exclusive: Nike Air Max 1 “Sofvi”
Inspired by Japanese vinyl toys.
We’re months past the annual celebration of Air Max Day, but Nike has been keeping things exciting for the coveted series thus far. Following a lineup of SYSTM and Air Max 1 ’86 “Blue Safari” renditions, the sportswear label now introduces a new “Sofvi” colorway for the OG model.
Inspired by Japanese collectibles vinyl toys, the Nike Air Max 1 “Sofvi” features a standard white leather base, overlayed by translucent synthetic panels on the sides and heel counters which sports muted yellow and soft pink gradients. Dressed in a striking red on the leather mid-panels and interior linings, metallic silver pops through the Swoosh profiles on the sides.
The overall color palette is then balanced with a Sail Air Unit midsole, completed with Japanese katakana characters of “Nike Air Max” on the translucent undersole. Lastly, graphic designs matching the shoe box completes the look on the insoles alongside Nike Swoosh and Japanese branding.
While no release dates have been confirmed for the Nike Air Max 1 “Sofvi”, the pair is expected to arrive in the coming months via Nike SNKRS and selected retailers in Women’s sizing. Retail price tag is set at $160. Until then, stay tuned here for the latest updates.
