PUMA’s golden boy LaMelo Ball will return to the court the next season, and will return with his third signature shoe. Before that though, he’ll be diving into Web 3.0 with the titular MB.03. Dubbed the “GutterMelo”, his foray will be in collaboration with NFT collectible company Gutter Cat Gang.

The pair deviates from its predecessors in terms of design but carries the familiar disorderly, uninhibited look of the first two models. It’s more audacious, featuring a striking midsole pattern that splashes upward into the midfoot. Moreover, the quilted padding at the achilles and scooping heel is imprinted with the signature “Not From Here” motif, providing an organic shape to match the overlays. The Gutter Cat mascot helms the tongue in the same heat-map theme of the profiles.

Before its wider release in the physical realm, they’ll be availed first as an NFT on OpenSea from 29 June for US$175. Those who acquire it will get first dibs at the IRL pair when they’re released on PUMA from 18 July to 20 August.

There will be more colorways within the coming months but once the above-mentioned time window expires, so will the exclusive “GutterMelo” colorway.
