The PUMA MB.02 Low “LaMel-O” Is Inspired by a Prior LaMelo Commercial
Its motif a testament to its namesake's star power.
Last year, Charlotte Hornets star guard and PUMA’s golden boy, LaMelo Ball, appeared in the popular “Sellout” campaign promoting the Disney-owned Hulu + Live TV service. Part of said campaign featured Ball with his own sugary cereal called, “LaMelo’s”. Before the imminent arrival of the MB.03 “GutterMelo”, PUMA releases the MB.02 Low in a colorway inspired by the aforementioned breakfast staple.
Dressed in a palette of Grey, PUMA White, and Elektro Green, this iteration of the MB.02 Low sees a White base layer, Grey–Black overlays, and Bright Green contrasting accents. In addition to these, the pair’s finished off by Ball’s cartoon face and his “O” motif of the cereal box on the tongues.
They’re set to hit PUMA’s brick-and-click stores and select retailers on 16 June with an RRP of US$125.
