[Update 11 Oct 2023] Travis Scott’s sneakers have epitomized the concept of hype, selling out as fast as Michael Jordan himself makes a dollar. With the upcoming Golf iteration, some stores have taken matters into their own hands.

Establishing parameters to ensure that the Travis Scott x Nike Air Jordan 1 Low Golf “Olive” ends up in the hands of actual fans, or those who actually golf— and not in the hands of scalpers, London’s TrendyGolf requires buyers at the in-store launch to be able to hit at least 200 yards for men, and 150 yards for ladies, in two attempts.

Registration for one of 72 spots have closed but make haste at Nike SNKRS when it drops on 13 October! Nevertheless, what do you think of these rules? Should the practice be introduced to the biggest releases in the future?

The Golf AJ1s is scheduled to drop on Nike SNKRS with an RRP of US$170 on 13 October. Till then, enjoy these new images by @sneakerknockerzllc.

[Update 22 Jun 2023] We know that Cactus Jack will be heading to the golfing green thanks to the leaks earlier on of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf. But pro golfer Philip Mickelson has gone ahead of everybody. In the latest addition to gallery, the images depict him wearing the shoes in a few occasions.

The pair is a custom made by the venerable Shoe Surgeon. The pair’s reminiscent of the fragment design collaboration in terms of its color palette and blocking. But of course, it’s retrofitted with an all new golfing sole unit and various animal leather, typical of the Shoe Surgeon.

These are customs so don’t get your hopes up. But the world will be getting a golf edition of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low on 13 October. Stay tuned for official looks!

[Update 19 Jun 2023] Mark your calendars for 13 October as we are expecting a release of the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low Golf. In the meantime, we will keep you informed when more details or images surface.

Guess Travis Scott isn’t quite done yet with the Nike Air Jordan 1. Succeeding last month’s “Medium Olive”, comes this retrofitting of the iconic shoe for the golf course.

Light Lemon Twist, Sail, Neutral Olive, and Black dresses the AJ1 Golf’s nubuck, leather, and mesh construction. White overlays, laces, heels, and midsoles complement the Neutral Olive base layer, that also dress the nylon tongues, and inner lining.

It’s further imbued with Lemon Twist tongue labels with Jumpman Golf and “Cactus Jack” imprints, the co-branding extending to the heels and footbed. The design is rounded off by Travis’s hallmark reverse Swooshes in Black on the lateral, while sitting atop a golf-ready outsole. As with releases prior, expect them to be housed in a specially designed shoebox, and probably with additional laces.

Information is scant at the moment with only these images the Rosetta stone. Stay put though! More details should emerge within the coming weeks. The RRP is currently set at US$170.
