The Nike Air Jordan 12 “Field Purple” Gets a Summer Release
Inspired by Gary Payton’s AJ12 “Lakers” PE.
[Update 28 Jul 2023] Official images of the Nike Air Jordan 12 “Field Purple” have surfaced. Take a look at them as we anticipate the pair’s release on 19 August.
Jordan Brand’s release calendar has been packed all year, and it’s getting even tighter in the summer with the addition of the Nike Air Jordan 12 “Field Purple” in the lineup.
Taxi, Field Purple, Metallic Gold, and Black form the palette of the pair, reminiscent of Gary Payton’s AJ12 “Lakers” PE from his playing days with Los Angeles.
Black leather makes up most of the body’s construction with Purple adding contrast by way of the mudguards, the Jumpman badge debossed on the profile, and the tongue branding. Other elements like the upper eyelets in Metallic Gold add a regal touch, in addition to the Purple “TWO” embroidery that extends down the tongue. Underfoot sees the outsole accented by a Taxi color scheme on the carbon fiber plate in the middle, framed within a herringbone pattern.
The pair is expected to be released in full-family sizing on 19 August 2023. Find them then on SNKRS with an RRP of US$200.
