Stranger Things and Casio Are Dropping an ’80s-Inspired Watch
Pop colors reminiscent of the '80s and the demogorgon both make an appearance.
It’s been a year since Kate Bush saved us from Vecna, and Stranger Things is finally back— this time via a collab with Japanese watchmaker Casio. The Stranger Things x Casio A120WEST is a digital watch whose 1980s design pays homage to the Upside Down, the imaginary parallel world to Hawkins town in Stranger Things.
The Casio A120 itself is inspired by ’80s Casio watches and, here, instantly-recognizable elements from the Netflix hit series have been added. Rubber buttons are rendered in pop colors of that era, while a demogorgon takes centerplace on the watch face, its tentacles extending all the way across to the back of the case.
Press the LED light button and an “upside down” Stranger Things logo will reveal itself. The iconic red ST logo also appears once more on the watch band. The watch also comes in a specially-designed box which features its main cast of characters.
The Stranger Things x Casio A120WEST watch drops on 9 June for a price of 12,100 JPY (~US$87).
In other sneaker-related news, Supreme x Vans will be releasing two new collaborative models this week.
