The Nike Air Jordan 2 Low Gives Nod to the “Quai 54” French Basketball Tournament
Playing their part in the elevation of basketball globally.
Hammadoun Sidibé and Thibaut de Longeville created Quai 54 in Paris in 2003. Two decades since, the French basketball tournament has become one of the biggest tourneys in the world. And every year, Jordan Brand celebrates its success with a commemorative pair.
This Air Jordan 2 Low “Quai 54” features a similar color-blocking as its Air Jordan 1 Low counterpart. Its White leather upper adorned with Red piping in addition to the the heels that acknowledges its “Chicago” pedigree. The midsoles and interior are both Black. White “Jordan Wings” takes its place on the tongue, along with Yellow co-branded lateral tags on the lateral.
The design is rounded out by the use of the pan-African hues of Green and Yellow on the heel and outsole, as well as a geometric pattern on the insoles. Included in the special packagaing is a commemorative “Quai 54” hangtag that reads, “20 Years in the Game.”
