adidas Consortium Gives the Rivalry a “Core Black” and “Chalk White” Makeover
The latest reimagining of one of their oldest silhouettes.
The Three Stripes has been at the vanguard of sportswear for decades, taking a huge slice of the cake in some of the most-watched sports in the world. They’ve pushed the envelope of performance gear in football, basketball, and running, amongst many others. Still, there will always be a market for some of their oldest models. Thus through their Consortium program, the Rivalry, both High and Low gets reintroduced in “Core Black” and “Chalk White”.
Made from quality leather, the majority of the uppers on all four alternatives follow a uniform design, with the tongues and profile Three Stripes adding contrast to each pair. All four featuring an off-white sole unit and footbed, as it were during their introduction in 1986.
There’s no release date yet, save for Europe, which the pairs will be availed to on 15 May at select retailers and adidas brick-and-click. A wider release should follow shortly. Stay tuned!
