The Wallabee silhouette has always been an excellent canvas for experimentation. Proving it in recent years with high-profile collaborations with Vandy the Pink and XLARGE to silhouette revisions that saw the staple transformed into a mule.

This latest iteration of the Wallabees was spearheaded by Fireboy DML, one of the flagbearers of Afrobeats, and one of the most prominent musicians of his time, enthusiastic about honoring the genre and preserving it for future generations. In the gallery above, he wears the Clarks Originals Wallabee from the “Jacquard” line of the official “Beyond Worlds” campaign; featuring a vibrant, ’60s-inspired color palette along with its heritage craftsmanship. Grey floral motifs adorn the soft, breathable jacquard uppers.

As Fireboy DML prepares for a special performance together with Nigerian vocalist Nissi and Cape Verdean American singer-songwriter June Freedom, the shoe and the concert will also be reimagined in the Metaverse. Fireboy DML discussed his newest campaign and live Metaverse concert as follows:
