Jalen Green, who was selected as the second overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, has been embracing his Southeast Asian heritage since becoming just the third player in NBA history of Filipino origin. The Three Stripes further honors his heritage in lieu of the commencement of the AAPI Heritage Month.

Jalen Green has worn the titular pair in many games during March. With the Houston Rockets failing to make the Playoffs, perhaps another iteration of the pair will make an appearance in the next season. Nevertheless, along with the Lightstrike cushioning, a mismatched color blocking is used to reflect the colors of the Philippine flag—a brilliant “Vivid Red” on the right foot and a stunning “Royal Blue” on the left. A similar wave of bright white crashes on top of both sides’ neoprene heel counters and BOOST midsoles, offset by the opposing shade along the laces and presiding loops, unified through the yellow on the tread and shank beneath the foot.

A release date hasn’t been disclosed just yet but there’s reason to expect them sometime in the summer this year. Expect to find them on adidas’ brick-and-click with an RRP of US$150.
