Okayama Denim Constructs These Converse All Stars
Available in both low and high cut renditions.
Japan has always been known for their supreme quality and craftsmanship and that certainly explains why many gravitate to purchasing domestically made products, including footwear.
Looking to Converse Japan’s lineup of offerings, a new range of All Star models boasting a premium upper construction made from Okayama denim was introduced. Known to be one of the originating prefectures for Japan denim, Okayama denim is said to utilize a high-tech dyeing method, allowing its hue to age well with time.
Dressed in a classic Black finish on the uppers, red linings above the white rubber outsole also marks a reference to Japan’s country flag. Branding remains minimal throughout, with only the regular Converse All Star patch on the lateral sides while a “Made in Japan” rubber label on the heel completes the design.
Slated to release on 28 April, the Converse Made in Japan All Star “Okayama Denim” will be made available in both low and high cut variations via Converse Japan and selected retailers.
