Balenciaga is back with another intriguing silhouette—this time transforming the gargantuan Balenciaga Defender sneaker into a humble clog. This newly-surfaced Balenciaga Defender Clog follows the February release of the french luxury house’s highly talked-about 3XL Sneaker and continues Demna’s love for big, chunky footwear.

The Balenciaga Defender Clog retains the “extreme tire tread sole” of its older sibling, but takes the “destroyed” concept further by spreading the rubber material over its upper, with the protruding black rubber covering almost the entire clog except for the heel. Balenciaga branding is debossed on both the toe box and heel; while the shoe size appears above the brand name at the heel.

The Balenciaga Defender Clog in Black is now available in men’s sizing at Balenciaga for US$1,050.
