Kowloon Restaurant, an establishment based in Saugus, recently collaborated with artist Sway from Blueswaydshowes to customize 100 pairs of Nike Air Force Ones. Done in the name of charity, the pairs feature Kownloon’s logo in gold, red, and black individually airbrushed on the upper.

As it turns out, John Cena bought one for U$495 and wore them for the world to see during entertainment wrestling’s biggest night at Wrestlemania 39. Although he had lost that match against Austin Theory, talked about as much were the hitherto unseen AF1s on his feet. The appearance summoned both attention and curiosity for the shoes it never would have without Cena.

After which, he autographed the pair and redelivered it to Andy Wong, the restaurant’s owner. Not without a photo himself holding said shoes with a handwritten note, “Andy, you are one of a kind! Thank you for all you do.”

It’s a delightful gesture but not at all surprising for John Cena, who is the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s record holder for most wishes granted in its 42-year history at over 400.
