The Nike Air Foamposite One is one of Nike’s most polarising basketball shoes to date. Whatever you think of the shoe, it’s hard to deny that the Foamposite One became a fashion statement in the lifestyle category, particularly because of releases such as the original Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” back in 2012.
Part of the “All-Star” Collection, the OG “Galaxy” is often credited as one of the best Foamposite One colorways to exist. These days, you’d have to fork out well over US$1,000 for a pair. But Nike is set to give its most ardent fans a chance to cop for retail, with news that the “Galaxy” is returning in 2024.
Reported by Sneaker Files and @zsneakerheadz, the highly coveted colorway will make its grand return come Spring 2024. It’s expected to follow its predecessor closely in terms of construction and design, but we’ll have to wait until images of the upcoming pair surface.
For now, take a trip down memory lane and take another look at the 2012 pair while we await the new Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy”.
